In July 2009 Dr Alan Wilson, the Chairman of the Board of Ecolodges Indonesia was honoured at the University of Edinburgh with an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor honoris causa - ‘for the sake of the honour’). Dr Wilson is also Chairman, Indonesia International Rural and Agricultural Development Foundation.
